Politicians should pay to park

by isleofman.com 10th July 2015

A call is being made for all members of Tynwald to pay to park in their reserved spaces.

It follows widespread criticism of increases in public car park charges and moves to charge disabled people to park. Tynwald members and some civil servants have free parking in Douglas.

Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft is bringing the issue before this month's sitting of Tynwald. She wants members to support her motion that they should pay for their parking in the reserved car park in Tynwald from the start of the next session.
