One person sustained serious leg injuries in a two vehicle collision on the mountain road and has been
flown to the UK for treatment.
The road was closed for several hours so that the scene could be investigated and repairs made to the road surface.
Police say four people were involved and they are appealing for witnesses to come forward.The collision occurred at about 5.30pm yesterday (Wednesday) near the mountain mile.
