The Henry Bloom Noble Library’s assistant borough librarian Sue Caley has retired after 45 years’ service.

To mark the occasion Douglas Mayor Sara Hackman hosted a reception at Douglas town hall at which she said Mrs Caley had been ‘instrumental in adapting and modernising the library’s services’ and ‘an enthusiastic participant’ in the introduction of modern technology. 45 years was, she said, ‘an impressive achievement’.
