Village speed limit on agenda

by isleofman.com 30th June 2015

A long-running bid to introduce a 20 mph speed limit through Kirk Michael village is back on the political agenda.

Michael MHK Alf Cannan has tabled a question for Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne in today's sitting of the House of Keys, asking whether his department accepts the need for a speed limit.

There's a raft of questions on today's agenda, including a plea from Onchan MHK Peter Karran for more Manx meat on restaurant menus. He wants to see the introduction of a voluntary scheme to guarantee that the meat sold is Manx and that restaurants can purchase meat from the meat plant at the price it's sold off-island.
