Isle of Man Gymnast Grace Harrison is preparing for a series of major competitions with new support from Ramsey Crookall.
The 20-year-old will contest the British Challenge Cup on 4th and 5th July, adding another prestigious event to her already impressive career biography. She is also due to compete at the British Team Championships and Northern European Championships, both in September. Throughout her 2015/2016 campaign, Grace will have backing from the Isle of Man's longest established independent firm of stockbrokers and investment managers.
Ramsey Crookall is supporting the sporting star through the Isle of Man Sport Aid programme, which works with sponsors and the Isle of Man Sport Institute to offer talented athletes the opportunity to compete at national, international and world level, and to promote the Isle of Man as a centre of sporting excellence.
Ramsey Crookall CEO Joanna Crookall said: ‘We understand excellence and appreciate the dedication and determination it takes to deliver your very best. The Isle of Man is rich in sporting talent, and as a long-established part of the Manx community Ramsey Crookall is keen to help develop that talent and assist our athletes to achieve the excellence they strive for.
‘The Isle of Man Sport Aid programme is a remarkable initiative and we are pleased to be supporting its aims by sponsoring Grace. She has already demonstrated the commitment and hard work needed to succeed, and has represented her Island at many high profile events, including the Commonwealth Games and Island Games.
‘We are delighted to be part of her journey as she continues to go from strength-to-strength.’
In 2012, Grace became British Challenge Cup All Around, Bars, Beam and Floor Champion and went on to claim 10 medals, including five Golds, at the 2013 Island Games in Bermuda. Her success continued last year when she became Isle of Man Gymnastics Ladies Champion and British Challenge Cup All Around and Floor Champion.
It was also in 2014 she was selected to represent the Isle of Man at the Commonwealth Games, where she made the All-Around final, the first female Manx gymnast to qualify for a Commonwealth Games final, and placed 21st overall.
Grace said: ‘The support I receive from Ramsey Crookall is amazing. Their sponsorship enables me to be able to continually train and compete at an international level, whilst carrying out my university studies.
‘This has helped me to work towards my extensive goals within gymnastics.
‘I am extremely thankful to Ramsey Crookall and Isle of Man Sports Aid for their considerable and generous support.’
