Treasury has today published a summary of responses to its recent public consultation on the future of state pensions and benefits in the Isle of Man, which was entitled ‘Proposed Changes to the Manx Social Security and National Insurance Systems.’
The consultation, which attracted a total of 417 responses, ran from March 23 until May 15 and was preceded by a series of public presentations. The consultation proposals followed a major review of the systems first published in November last year.
Treasury would like to thank all respondents and also all those who attended the public presentations for taking the time to contribute to this important topic. The responses are being taken into account in considering the way forward for the Island’s state pension and benefits systems.
The consultation response document is available on the Treasury Social Security Division website at http://www.gov.im/ConsultationDetail.gov?id=495
Alternatively, a paper copy can be obtained from the Social Security Division or by contacting 685148.
