Appeal after vehicles damaged on Upper Dukes Road

by isleofman.com 15th June 2015
Police in Douglas are appealing for information following criminal damage which has occurred to a significant number of vehicles parked on Upper Dukes Road, Douglas. The damage is believed to have occurred between midday Thursday 11th June 2015 and 9am Friday 12th June 2015.

The vehicles have been deliberately scratched in multiple places, causing significant and expensive damage to the paint work.

PC Brew commented:

“This is a disappointing end to what has been a successful TT fortnight, the person or persons responsible have caused what is estimated to be thousands of pounds worth of damage to the vehicles, in what I would describe as a mindless and pointless act of vandalism. I would urge anyone who has information about this damage to contact me or any Police officer or if they have seen any suspicious in the area to come forward as this may assist in identifying the culprits.”

Anyone who has information about this incident should contact PC 318 Brew at Lord St Police Station on 631212. You may also contact Isle of Man Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 anonymously.
