Three Isle of Man residents have been recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours List.
After a 35 year career in the prison service, with seven years as governor of the Isle of Man prison, Alison Gomme, pictured, receives an MBE for services to the island's prison and probation services.
She oversaw the relocation of the prison from Douglas to Jurby, established a prison health service and resettlement strategy and actively encouraged significant third sector involvement including the Samaritans, Mothers' Union, Children's Centre, Housing Matters and Prison Works.
Jim Crebbin, who receives a BEM for services to Manx music and the community, has been an enthusiastic member of Rushen Silver Band since its inception 65 years ago, inspiring hundreds of musicians, and an active member of Rowany Golf Club.
Anglea Thompson, a recently retired UK Government lawyer who now lives in Colby, was honoured with an OBE for her work in HM Revenue and Customers Solicitor's Office. Her husband Howard said: 'I am absolutely thrilled her hard work has been recognised.'
