Helicopter pilot named

Police have named the 48 year old pilot who died in a helicopter crash near the TT course this morning.


He was Matthew Chapman from Louth in Lincolnshire. He was piloting a Bell Jetranger and had dropped two passengers off at the Creg ny Baa before the crash in the Baldwin valley just off the 33rd milestone on the TT course.


An investigation in the circumstances of the crash is continuing.
