A fatal road traffic collision occurred last night on the Ballaugh to Jurby coast road.

A 52 year old man from Germany was pronounced dead at the scene after a collision between his motorcycle and a car at about 9.45pm. The driver of the car, a local man, was unhurt.

The road was closed for several hours so the scene could be examined. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with further information to come forward.
