Charity boxes stolen

A retailer in Douglas has spoken of his disgust after two charity boxes were stolen from his shop.


Police are investigating the theft of the boxes from the Lexicon bookshop in Strand Street. The charities benefiting from the donations are the Hyperbaric Chamber and the Breast Cancer unit.


The shop's owner said: 'I am absolutely disgusted that someone could be so horrible as to steal money that was donated to two such worthy causes.'
