Equiom is again recognised as a ‘Top 25 Trust Company’

by isleofman.com 1st June 2015

Equiom has been named in eprivateclient’s ‘Top 25 Trust Companies’ for the third consecutive year.

The prestigious list, which recognises the most successful trust companies throughout the UK and offshore islands, is compiled annually from a survey of the industry’s leading 100 firms.

Equiom Group’s Managing Director, Sheila Dean, commented: “This is a fabulous achievement for Equiom and it reflects the continued development of the business.  The past 12 months have seen several successfully completed acquisitions, resulting in a substantial rise in staff numbers and a more influential multi-jurisdictional presence, which has provided   our clients with international scale exposure to even more expertise and tailored solutions. Throughout this period of change, I’m proud to say that our priority has remained focused on providing the highest quality of service to our clients”.

Based on 2014 data, the findings revealed sector-wide rises in the average number of client-facing directors, trust officers, total staff and fee income for the surveyed trust companies, compared with the previous year.

According to eprivateclient, the upturn in employee numbers was attributed to a number of the larger firms making acquisitions, whilst increased fee income had resulted from a combination of growth in private equity investments and a rise in compliance costs.
