Feisty acoustic duo set for Isle of Man debut

by isleofman.com 1st June 2015

Jonno Promotions has once again managed a first for the Isle of Man, bringing the feisty Yorkshire duo of Michelle Plum (Waking The Witch, Chumawamba) and Nick B Hall (The Hall Brothers Band) – PLUMHALL – to the Isle of Man next month.

With their award-winning self-penned songs earning well-deserved plaudits from the likes of R2 magazine, PLUMHALL have achieved a fierce reputation on the UK live circuit, delivering powerful guitar and luscious harmony-driven textures of country, americana, folk and pop.

PLUMHALL will be performing for one night only on Saturday, 20th June 2015 at The Institute, Laxey. Doors will open at 7.30, for an 8.00pm start.

Promoter Jonno Gollow said: ‘We are delighted to be able to bring the amazingly talented PLUMHALL to the Isle of Man as part of our 2015 live music series. After receiving praise from The Guardian and The Observer for their debut album they really are in hot demand. Their performance will certainly raise the rafters in The Institute.’

PLUMHALL’s debut album, THUNDERCLOUD, was voted one of The Guardian and The Observer’s ‘Hidden Gems of 2014’.

Nick Hall said: ‘We are thrilled to be coming to the Isle of Man. There is such a strong tradition of folk music on the Island and we hear the audiences are welcoming. We hope that our show goes down well!’

Tickets are ?12 online from http://www.eTickets.im/jp & hard copy tickets are available from the Laxey Chemist and Laxey Post Office.
