Shortly before 8am this morning police and ambulance attended the vicinity of the shops in Clagh Vane, Ballasalla, in response to the report of an assault. A 25yr old man from the south of the Island, who was at that location, has been conveyed to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening. Police from Southern Neighbourhood Policing team, supported by colleagues from Police Headquarters remain in the area conducting enquiries.
T/Inspector Andy Kneen would say “The incident is thought to have taken place at an address in Crossag Close, Ballasalla and the circumstances that are known to us at this time would suggest that this was a contained incident involving persons known to one another.”
