PwC To Host Annual Island Tax Conference

by isleofman.com 29th May 2015

PwC will host its annual tax conference next month, with a focus on the recent UK General Election, the post-election Budget and their ramifications for the Isle of Man.

The conference takes place on Tuesday, 14 July in the Wentworth Suite at Mount Murray Golf Club, with breakfast served from 8.00am ahead of an 8.30am start.

Our guest speaker will be Nicola Guffogg, Assessor of Income Tax, who will discuss developments in Isle of Man personal tax.  PwC’s Tax Partner Kevin Cowley will talk about the impact for the Island of the UK’s post-election budget on July 8.

Other speakers will include PwC Tax Director George Sharpe, looking at base erosion profit shifting (BEPS) and diverted profits tax (DPT), and what they mean for the Isle of Man, and Senior Manager Phil Morris, speaking about developments in the taxation of UK residential property.

The conference will include a Q&A session with the panel of speakers.

Kevin said: ‘Our annual conference is now firmly established in the Island’s business calendar, and we anticipate even more interest this year in light of the UK General Election and post-election budget’.
