Manx Blind Welfare Society will continue to deliver services to visually impaired people throughout the TT fortnight.
Although social groups normally held at Corrin Court in Onchan are suspended during the motorcycle festival, staff will be working to deal with any issues or inquiries.
The library and news services offered by the charity will also be maintained during TT.
The Society looks after the interests of more than 600 people with serious sight loss in the Isle of Man, delivering vital services and support funded entirely by donations and bequests.
Manx Blind Welfare Society Chief Executive Officer Ian Cooil said: ‘Obviously, the TT is a very busy time for the Island. Due to the additional traffic on the roads and closures for racing, we always suspend our regular social groups held at Corrin Court for the fortnight.
‘However, it is important for those with visual impairment and their families, whether already known to us or not, to be aware that staff are working as normal and ready to deal with any inquiries. It is worth calling us on 674727 first to make an appointment, but I’d urge anyone who needs our support, advice or services not to hesitate to make contact.
‘We will also be maintaining our library service, which makes thousands of audio books available to members, and our news service, which provides a weekly recording of local news to members, during the TT.’
