Letter Of Intent Between IOM Gambling Supervision Commission and the Netherlands Gaming Authority

by isleofman.com 28th May 2015

The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission and the Netherlands Gaming Authority have signed a Letter of Intent expressing their mutual wish to cooperate and willingness to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding once the Gaming and Betting Act in The Netherlands is approved.

The Letter of Intent is the precursor to a Memorandum of Understanding and will establish a formal basis for cooperation and information sharing between the Isle of Man and the Netherlands gambling authorities. The agreement has the principles of protection of consumers and preservation of public order at its centre and the common objective of improving regulatory standards in respect of these principles through exchange of knowledge, provision of assistance and establishment of a good working relationship.

The agreement underlines the Isle of Man’s ongoing commitment to international cooperation and is a strong endorsement from another European country of the excellent reputation that the Island has earned over more than a decade of safely regulating gambling activity online.
