Local band Poison Hearts will be providing the support act for one of the most successful bands of the glam rock movement – Slade – when they visit the Isle of Man during the TT Festival this year. Poison Hearts will support Slade prior to their performance, who will be performing live on the Sure Stage at the Villa Marina in Douglas on Friday, June 5, in association with Manx Radio.
Poison Hearts have been kicking around and flying the flag for the heyday of Punk for a good few years now and mix the early fledgling sounds of the likes of The Sex Pistols and The Damned, via a smattering of Motorhead, to the more recent influences of Social Distortion.
Their 2008 debut album and only release to date “True Necromance” showcases just what these boys bring to the table. If a bit of high energy, trashy, no nonsense Punk Rock is up your street, then you can’t go far wrong. A new release is finally in the works and due for release in 2015.
Poison Hearts are Mark E Moon (Vocals), Gentleman Jim (Guitars), Compliment Steve (Bass) and Calendar Steve (Drums).
