The Isle of Man Creamery is very excited to announce the winners and runners-up of the ‘Design a Van Competition’. The team had a great time going through all the entries. They were impressed by the quality of all the submissions and would like to thank everyone who entered.
The two runners-up are Ella Whorrall, who won the 4-6 year old category and Daniela Pemberton who is the winner of the 11-14 year old category. Ella, aged 6, of St John's School created a wonderful design that made complimentary use of colours across the whole van with beautifully neat colouring-in and bubble writing. Daniela, aged 11, of St Ninian's Lower School drew a fantastic cow and the judges were especially impressed by her great use of the IOM creamery’s logo and products, and thought the use of the cow printed stripe was a great idea.
The overall winner and runners-up each receive a bag full of Isle of Man Creamery produce and a class trip to the factory to see how Creamery products are made.
The winner of the 7-10 year old category and overall competition winner is Ruby Watterson, aged 7, from Scoill Phurt le Moirrey! Ruby’s design can now be seen on a brand new milk van travelling around the Isle of Man.
Managing Director at The Creamery, Findlay Macleod said: “Thank you to everyone who submitted a design. They were all very creative, which made it difficult to choose an overall winner. We loved Ruby's stunning design featuring a lovely countryside, very smiley cows and Isle of Man Creamery products featured in individual flowers! Look out for the van, which will shortly be doing deliveries around the Island. Congratulations Ruby!”
