Cronkbourne and Peel and St John’s are making the early running in the Isle of Man Premiership. They top the league with 45 points each, well ahead of third placed Castletown.
The title contenders will be looking to take maximum points from their games on Sunday, before going head to head at Tromode in June.
Cronkbourne are at home to Castletown who hit form last week with a good win over Valkyres. Sam Callister took six wickets and is clearly a threat to the Douglas side.
The southern batting was also effective. George Burrows led the way with an excellent 64, backed up by valuable innings from Richard Jackson and Garreth Roome.
Cronkbourne performed well to beat Crosby with some fine bowling, particularly from Jaco Jansen. He took three wickets for two runs in five overs, but then had to leave the field injured. There must be fears that he will be missing on Sunday.
Max Stokoe held the batting together and there was promising work from Eddie Beard. The side could be hard pressed to beat the Town and this game could be close.
The Saints travel the short distance down the road to take on Crosby. They won three times on this ground in 2014 and most of their batsmen are in great form. Ollie Webster has a batting average of 119 and others are not far behind him.
Kieran Cawte tops the list of Island wicket takers with 14 victims at an average of just under six. So Crosby could be in for a rough time.
However they should not despair. Danny Kniveton is in top form while Ross Berry and Dave Picken both have taken four wickets hauls in the Premiership.
Ramsey have an opportunity to move off the bottom of the table when they are at home to Valkyres who are just one place above them. Expect the northern side to bounce back after their mauling at Mullen-e-Cloie last week.
Then the batting collapsed in spectacular fashion with only Brian Arnold reaching double figures. On Sunday Grant Atchison returns to the starting eleven and Tom Howard plays his first game of the season.
The Valkyres have turned in some decent performances, but luck seems to have deserted them. Their batting too failed last week, so this could be a low scoring game.
