Tribute to Harrison Cushing

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2015

Staff and students at Queen Elizabeth II High School have been saddened and shocked by the unexpected loss of Harrison Cushing, a highly valued member of our school community.

Harrison was an able, conscientious and enthusiastic student who staff describe as a pleasure to teach.  He was an articulate and confident young man.

Harrison valued being part of the school community and his friends were very important to him. Harrison played an active part in the life of our school. He was a tutor group representative for Year 9, a member of the cast for our forthcoming School Production and was a member of the School Council.

Harrison had a very keen and quick sense of humour, appreciated by his classmates and teachers alike.  Anyone who knew Harrison could not fail to like him and he will be very deeply missed by his close friends, his classmates in Year 9, his teachers and the wider school community.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Harrison’s family at this very sad and difficult time.

Department of Education and Children educational psychologists are in school working with CRUSE Bereavement Care to provide professional support for students and staff.
