Differing views on effects of police cuts

Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson says people shouldn't be frightened of reporting crime to police.
This morning in Tynwald he faced questions from Onchan MHK Peter Karran about whether budget cutbacks were affecting the work of the police.
Mr Karran said he had evidence people weren't reporting low-level crime because they weren't convinced officers could do much about it.
Mr Watterson said he'd encourage everybody to contact police if they've been the victim of criminals:
