No overspend on capital projects - Bell

Tynwald will be asked to bring forward spending of more than ?2.3 million on a raft of capital projects this year.
Five government departments and the Manx Utilities Authority are seeking additional cash for projects already approved.
Schemes range from a new engineering centre at Isle of Man College to public housing and sewerage works.
Chief Minister Allan Bell says in the vast majority of cases there has been no overspend - the building projects simply need funds already allocated to them, earlier than expected.
However, a public housing project at Janet's Corner in Castletown requires further funding beyond its original budget, of ?112,700.
Mr Bell says with the exception of that scheme, the supplementary spending vote is a book-keeping adjustment:
