Tynwald approval sought for new mental health unit

A new unit could be built for adults suffering from mental illnesses if Tynwald approves funding when it sits tomorrow (Tuesday).
Replacing Grianagh Court, the ?7.5 million building would have six extra rooms as well as state-of-the-art facilities.
The current unit is totally full, which doesn't meet the NHS standards of 85 to 95 per cent occupancy to allow for emergencies.
Health Minister Howard Quayle says approving the plans is vital:
