Dozens of fans met one of the TT’s most popular riders during a personal appearance at the Manx Telecom shop on saturday 9th May. Conor Cummins, the fastest Manxman ever to lap the Mountain Course, was at the Strand Street store to meet fans of all ages who wanted to talk to him about his hopes for this season, get his autograph, and have their photos taken with the Honda Racing rider. For younger fans there were also free gifts from Manx Telecom, including sweets, sunglasses and balloons.

Speaking after the event, Conor said:
“It’s always good fun to meet fans and to hear how much they are looking forward to TT. This is the fourth successive season that Manx Telecom has been one of my personal sponsors and I really appreciate being supported by a local company.”

This week Conor will be racing at the North West 200 and he reports that he feels fit, confident and ready to go for the 2015 season. He’ll be aiming to build on a brilliant 2014 when he achieved two podium finishes in the North West 200 and went on to claim two more podium finishes at the TT, including second place in the PokerStars Senior race. ‘Conrod’ is in his second season with Honda Racing and this season will again be alongside 21 time TT winner John McGuinness. Conor will contest the RST Superbike and PokerStars Senior races at the Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy, and the Superbike races at the North West 200.
