A family fun day this weekend will honour the memory of a little boy who died aged five and raise money for Rebecca House children's hospice.
Jack Cain died on May 16 2014 from a rare form of cancer just weeks after his diagnosis.
His mum Emma has organised a memorial day for this Saturday, May 16, at Douglas Old Boys' Football Club ground.
Jack spent his final days at Rebecca House.
Emma said: 'Without Rebecca House and their staff, I don't know how we would have got through this heartbreaking time. They made us all as comfortable as possible, nothing was too much trouble and they treated Jack just like a normal five year old.
'To honour his memory and to mark the first year of him passing we are holding a memorial family fun day for everyone. All donations received will go to Rebecca House. There is no admission charge, no charge for anything, we just kindly ask people to make a small donation.'
The fun day is from 12noon to 6pm and includes a five a side fun football tournament, tug of war, bouncy castle, candy floss and refreshments.
