JCC raises ?3,000 for Manx Cancer Help

by isleofman.com 14th May 2015

On Saturday 9th May the Junior Chamber of Commerce (“JCC”) hosted a black tie dinner in aid of Manx Cancer Help and raised ?3,000 in the process.

Sponsored by Barclays and compared by Christy DeHaven there was music by local band “Switch” which had JCC members and guests dancing into the small hours of Sunday morning.
Headlining the event was David Schneider, a former Radio 5 Live 'Tweeter of the Year', with over 200,000 followers on Twitter. David shared his thoughts on the viral potential of social media and how businesses should harness the power of social media to improve their business performance.

Kate Parrish, Chairman of the JCC commented: “We host monthly learning and networking events so this black tie dinner fitted perfectly into our 2015 schedule. The event was attended by almost 150 guests and we’re so very grateful to Christy and David for helping us raise so much money for Manx Cancer Help… and have great fun in the process! Barclays kindly sponsored the event and also donated ?1,000 to help us reach our target of ?3,000 on the evening, which is much appreciated by all. If anyone would like further information in respect to upcoming JCC events please visit our website: www.jcc.im or connect with us on LinkedIn, Facebook or follow us on Twitter @JCCIOM.”
