Isle of Man Post Office puts stamp on London 2015 Europhilex show

Representatives for Isle of Man Post Offices Stamps and Coins division will this week be representing the business at London Europhilex 2015, the show runs from May 13- 16 and is being held at Islington’s Business Design Centre.

The 2015 show marks the 175th Anniversary of the first issue of adhesive postage stamps with the Penny Black and 125th Anniversary of the first international Philatelic exhibition to be held in London. Europhilex is a major international Philatelic event which showcases a wide range of products and services, such as collectables and stamps based products and services and many other related items.

The 2015 instalment saw a tremendous response from exhibitors across Europe with more than 2,400 applications for the 1,400 frames available. A wide range of dealers will be present at the show as well as renowned auctioneers, Philatelic societies and clubs including the Royal Philatelic Society in London and collectors from across the European Union.

Isle of Man Post Office has been successful in securing an exhibition space at the show where it will showcase some of its latest stamp collections including the 175th Anniversary of the Penny Black, WI Centenary Celebrations, Manx maritime history and its latest release for the 200th Anniversary of Battle of Waterloo. Isle of Man Post Office team of representatives will be located at the show on the Pobjoy stamp agency countries stand G063.

Maxine Cannon, General Manager of Isle of Man Stamps and Coins said: “2015 is the inaugural year of the Europhilex show and we welcome the opportunity to sell our stamps at this new exhibition. Not only will the show enable us to meet with existing and prospective customers and suppliers from around the globe but it will also help to promote our current and latest stamp collections to a wider market.”
