Summerland sale falls through

by isleofman.com 12th May 2015

The derelict Summerland site remains on the market after the failure of a proposed sale, Chief Minister Allan Bell told the House of Keys this morning.

Replying to a question from Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft, Mr Bell said the main party involved had gone into administration before an agreement could be completed. He said other interested parties were now expected to come forward with an offer. Until then, the site remained on the market.

Mr Bell said it was 'really important' that the government now put some energy behind securing the sale of key strategic sites such as Summerland and the Lord Street site.
