Play tennis for free at the Great British Tennis Weekend

by isleofman.com 11th May 2015
Get outdoors and try tennis for free this summer at the Great British Tennis Weekend held at Douglas Lawn Tennis Club, Kensington Road on Sunday 17th May between 2-5pm!

Rackets and balls will be provided and absolutely anyone can get involved. Whether you’ve never picked up a racket before or are a seasoned regular – there is no excuse not to come down. All ability levels are welcome. Coaches will be on hand to offer you tips to help your game.

There will be coaching sessions run every hour for children between 4-11 years using smaller rackets and lower bouncing balls. For older children and adults there will be taster coaching sessions also every hour, at 2,3 and 4pm. If you don't fancy a coaching session why not just try the club’s facilities. Three floodlit artificial grass and one tarmac court plus clubhouse with changing rooms, showers and toilets. Just turn up and play! Light refreshments will be available.

On the day you will be able to find out and sign up to any of the club’s coaching sessions on offer for adults and children or join as a member.

No need to book but it will be helpful to know the numbers for the free coaching sessions. Please email douglastennis@manx.net or phone Tania on 302642 to book or for more info.

In the event of poor weather the open day will be postponed to Saturday 23rd May 2-5pm, announcement will be made on the club’s Facebook page.
