Elissa Morris has joined the Department of Economic Development as e-Business Manager following successful roles in Sales and Account Management within local ICT firms specialising in datacentre services, network, cloud, managed hosting and security solutions.
Peter Greenhill, Director of e-Business, Department of Economic Development said:
‘Elissa’s strong background in sales within the e-Business sector means that she will provide invaluable support to the team in what is the fastest growing sector, representing 20% of our economy. Her experience in managing a diverse portfolio of clients and attendance at international e-Business and e-Gaming conferences means she is well placed to sell the Isle of Man’s proposition in ICT and digital currencies.’
Initially working as an Account Manager with Domicilium, Elissa then joined the Elite Comms Group in a similar role. When Elite Comms took over Wi-Manx, Elissa’s role evolved and she helped arrange hosting and telecommunication services to her clients in the Isle of Man and across the group in the UK, while at the same time growing her portfolio with new businesses.
Elissa Morris commented:
‘ I have joined at an exciting time where the Island is increasingly being recognised as a premier jurisdiction for e-Business and I look forward to continuing to promote and grow this sector.’
