Horse trams are back

by isleofman.com 11th May 2015

The horse tram service starts today (Monday) and will operate daily until Sunday September 13.

This should be the final season that will see the trams operating down the centre of the road on Douglas promenade.

If Tynwald approves an ambitious ?21million scheme to transform the promenade, the trams will be relocated to a new track on the prom walkway. The Department of Infrastructure hopes the project can get under way in November this year.
