Mark Robson has joined the Department of Economic Development as Head of e-Gaming
He takes on the job after working for a number of years within the IT and gaming industries in a variety of roles.

His first-hand knowledge of what it takes to establish, grow and run successful gaming operations will no doubt reinforce the Isle of Man’s world class reputation as an e-Gaming centre of excellence and help the continued growth in a sector which is currently around 13% of our economy.’

Mark started his career in gaming working for Prima Poker where he was responsible for most operational aspects of their product. During his time with them, they grew to be the largest global poker network and he also managed what was at the time, the largest land-based tournament to take place outside of America - the $25,000 buy-in Monte Carlo Millions.

Following this, he joined Microgaming to help launch their multi-player casino, before transferring full time into account management. Here he took full commercial responsibility for clients throughout Europe, Asia, and Latin America.

In early 2013, he moved to Gibraltar to head the European Sales & Business Development team for SHFL Entertainment’s newly formed interactive division. After they were purchased by Bally Technologies, his role became based in Las Vegas as he took on global management for their igaming platform, as well as the relationships with the third parties integrating to it.

Mid-way through 2014 he returned to the Isle of Man and set-up his own consultancy firm working on emerging markets with a number of key B2B and B2C gaming companies.
