Strong relationship with SNP stands Island in good stead

by isleofman.com 8th May 2015
A strong relationship between the Isle of Man and the SNP stands us in good stead whatever the outcome of the UK general election. That's according to some members of the Manx public and Chief Minister Allan Bell. It was the election yesterday and the votes are still tallying up. The Conservatives are now predicted to win 326 seats giving them an overall majority. The Lib Dems have suffered throughout the night, with many high-profile MPs losing their jobs. The Scottish National Party has completely overshadowed Labour taking 56 seats. Speaking on Mandate this morning, Mr Bell says in the first instance our points of contact will be with the SNP leader Nicola Sturgeon.
