Island's Varroa-free status praised by UK expert

The Island's bee colony has been praised by a UK expert.
Vice-chairman of the Bee Improvement and Bee Breeders' Association Roger Patterson visited the Island to assess their suitability for use in breeding.
The Island has more than 800 beehives and apiaries and was recently declared Varroa-free.
Speaking on Manx Radio's Countryside, Mr Patterson said the public needs to be aware of the risks Varroa presents to our bees:
