Appeal for rally marshals

by isleofman.com 6th May 2015

An appeal has gone out ahead of this weekend's Manx National Rally for marshals, timekeepers and radio operators.

The 2015 event features 14 special stages and over 120 crews.

A spokesman said: 'This is looking at being a great event but we need volunteers to ensure its safe running. No previous experience is required as new volunteers can be teamed with experienced people to be shown the way and it's a great way of getting closer to the action.'

Signing on for volunteers starts today and organisers are looking for people who can spare a couple of hours on either Friday evening or during the day on Saturday.

Anybody interested can sign on from 6.30pm tonight (Wednesday) in Chequers Bar, Port Erin, or from 6pm today and tomorrow (Thursday) from 6pm at the conference centre in the TT Grandstand.
