Bowderyn Vannin Club Archer Lesley Sleight competed in the English Field Archery Spring Championships at the weekend and won the Ladies American Flatbow Class.
The two day competition was held at Galleywood in Essex.
The first day of competition was an International Field Archery Association (IFAA) Hunter round. Lesley shot a personal best score of 251 which was an A class classification score. The second day was a Marked Forrester round. This was the first time Lesley had shot this type of round and although a wet, windy day Lesley’s score of 270 points was just 5 points short of the English record.
