SBOBET Poker live on the MPN

by isleofman.com 5th May 2015
Microgaming have announced that SBOBET Poker is live on the MPN (formerly the Microgaming Poker Network).

SBOBET (sbobet.com) is one of the world’s largest online bookmakers and most successful gaming brands, with licenses in both the Philippines and Isle of Man, where the company has its corporate headquarters. Founded in 2004, SBOBET is award-winning, having been named ‘Asian Operator of the Year’ at the eGR Operator Awards in both 2009 and 2010.

SBOBET positions itself as a ‘one stop entertainment site’, offering an extensive suite of online gaming products. With the addition of poker via the MPN, SBOBET has bolstered its burgeoning portfolio even further.

In addition to launching download and instant play poker clients, SBOBET is the seventh brand to go live with the MPN’s mobile poker product. Built in HTML5 it is compatible with the broadest range of mobiles and tablets, including iPhones, iPads, and major Android devices.

“SBOBET are a huge operator in the online gaming industry; naturally we are thrilled to be adding such a well-known name to the MPN,” comments Alex Scott, Head of Poker at Microgaming. “Our poker network has undergone a series of new and exciting changes in the last year and the hard work is definitely paying off as we see new operators join the network.”

With the addition of SBOBET, the MPN reinforces its position as one of the industry’s most progressive poker networks. In the past year the MPN has launched a series of live poker events, the MPN Poker Tour, changed its rules to allow any language to be spoken at the tables, and launched a blog offering an insight into how the network is run. The launch of SBOBET follows the announcement that Adjarabet migrated its poker traffic to Microgaming using Babelfish technology in February.
