Polling stations changed

by isleofman.com 1st May 2015
Polling stations for the forthcoming by-election in North Douglas have been changed, after concerns were expressed by a local MHK.

John Houghton says he was "astounded" to see the two polling stations were going to be at Project twenty-one off Greenfield Road and the St John Ambulance Headquarters.

He says few people know where Project 21 is located and the ambulance headquarters has poor road access for large numbers of vehicles.

He expressed his concerns to returning officer Laurence Keenan - and suggested the polling stations should be the same as those used in a general election.

The by-elections in North and South Douglas take place on 21st May.Clip 1
