Foxdale School raising money for Nepal

by isleofman.com 30th April 2015

Foxdale Primary School are holding a cake sale and dress down day this Friday to raise fund for the Nepal crisis and then pupil Mark Lalor-Smith is hoping to walk the length of Douglas Promenade next Thursday, 7th May, provided the weather is kind.

Mark was hit by a vehicle on the 3rd June 2013 whilst on holiday in Turkey.  He was 10 years old at the time.  He spent 3 months in Alder Hey where, sadly he lost his right leg above the knee.  His left leg was able to be saved but was very badly injured and so Mark currently relies on his wheelchair or Didi-car to get around.

He's managed to walk the short walk from home to school a couple of times but his goal to walk as far as he can along Douglas Promenade, which is 2 miles long.

This will be a huge achievement and your support and donations would help him immensely.

There is a Just Giving page for donations: https://www.justgiving.com/Cara-Wilkinson2
