by isleofman.com 27th April 2015

North Douglas House of Keys candidate Ralph Peake is to hold a public meeting on Thursday, April 30th with a presentation ‘Lead by Example’ which is to encourage a debate on the present issues facing the Island and showing a way to work together to improve the situation for those living here.

The meeting starts at 7.30pm at the TT Grandstand meeting room.

The House of Keys North Douglas By-Election is on May 21st,, due to Bill Henderson becoming a Member of the Legislative Council, and with only just over three weeks until the election Mr Peake says he wants to have the opportunity to meet as many people and listen to their opinions and concerns.

“My goal is to personally meet every voter in Douglas North”, she said. “Being the first to announce my intention to stand for election has given me the maximum time to meet and listen to the constituents concerns and introduce them to my values and principles.

“My understanding gained from business qualifications and running my own business for the last 23 years, I believe gives me the best skills to help return the Island to profit. Listening and respecting people builds up trust, Leading by example instils confidence and a clear vision provides the opportunity to work together, for a better future.”

“There may be tough times ahead but together we can share the burden and the rewards success will bring. We owe it to the next generation.”
