Car catches light in Jurby

Firefighters from Kirk Michael and Ramsey spent half an hour tackling a car fire on Thursday.

They were called out shortly before 7.30pm to the Jurby Coast Road, where they found a Volkswagen Polo ablaze.

They put out the fire using high pressure hoses.

After making sure the vehicle was safe, fire crews left the owner to arrange its removal.
