Mark Byrne, director of the ICM Group with a special interest in business aviation, has been invited to speak at a high profile seminar taking place in Geneva on 18th May, the day before the European Business Aviation and Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) opens.
EBACE is the biggest show of its type in Europe and has become the premium event for business aviation professionals. ICM Group companies ICM Aviation and Martyn Fiddler Associates Limited (MFAL) are exhibiting again this year. The convention brings together over 13,000 business aviation professionals, 500 exhibitors and a static display of 50 state of the art business aircraft. Staff from ICM and MFAL will be networking throughout the show with business leaders, government officials, manufacturers, corporate aviation professionals and aviation lawyers. The three-day show starts on 19th May and is preceded by two seminars. Mark Byrne will be speaking at the seminar entitled International Aircraft Transactions. The objective of this seminar is to provide attendees with an in-depth review of the tax, legal and regulatory issues that are key to successfully conducting a business aircraft transaction.
Mark is part of a panel discussion about selecting the optimal aircraft registry. He represents the Isle of Man view on a panel consisting of representatives from the San Marino Aircraft Registry and Guernsey Aircraft Registry.
Mark told us why choosing the right aircraft registry is so important:
“EBACE is great platform at which to showcase the Isle of Man’s very successful Aircraft Registry. Selecting the right registry is an integral part of the transaction process due to key operational considerations.
It is a given that the state of registry has to be compatible with the rules and regulations of the jurisdiction in which the aircraft is going to be based, and where the aircraft is expected to fly. Then, and above all, owners should consider the registry’s safety regime and the security of title offered. After these two crucial considerations come service, flexibility and reputation. Get all of these factors right and your chosen registry should allow you to fly with the minimum of bureaucratic fuss whilst giving you the regulatory oversight and security you need.”
Mark Byrne will be joined at Stand T105 at EBACE by colleagues from the Isle of Man, Martin Kennaugh and Karen Calladine, and by UK based colleagues, Angie Deady-Fiddler, Phill Rawlins and Faye Setterfield.
