The capital International Group is excited about running an investment seminar this Wednesday, 22 April, at 4:15pm in the Salt Bar & Kitchen, with guest speakers Damian Taylor from Legg Mason Asset Management Australia (formerly Martin Currie) and Paul Cooper of Sarasin & Partners.
They will be talking about how they have redefined their approach to investments through the creation of PRISM, but you will also hear from Damian about “Smaller Companies” and Paul on “Asian Real Estate”.
There will be informal drinks and canapes after the presentation – so your opportunity to meet the team and their guests.
Damian joined Martin Currie (now Legg Mason Asset Management Australia) in July 2013 as an investment manager in the Asia team.
Before joining Martin Currie he was the chief financial officer for the digital media agency Rocketer. Prior to that, Damian was investment director at the private equity business Boundary Capital. He began his investment career at Goldman Sachs before moving to Morgan Stanley as executive director, institutional sales. Damian is a CFA® charterholder and gained his MBA at INSEAD in 1999. He also has a BEng (Hons) in mechanical engineering from the University of Melbourne.
Paul Cooper has over 28 years of investment experience, starting with Barclays de Zoete Wedd (BZW) in 1986. In 1991, he joined Bank Sarasin in Switzerland and moved to the London office in 1995. Paul has held a number of investment roles during this period, including Portfolio Manager, Head of Research and Deputy Chief Investment Officer. Paul moved to Dubai in 2008 to establish an asset management company for the Sarasin Group, returning to the institutional team of Sarasin & Partners in 2012. Paul has a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Salford, a Masters in Business Studies from Durham University Business School and he is a London Stock Exchange Registered Representative.
