Pre-trial hearing for man accused of manslaughter

by isleofman.com 20th April 2015
A pre-trial hearing will be held this morning in the case of a Ballaugh man who denies causing the death of his 10-year-old daughter.

Raymond French's daughter Alexis was killed in October 2013 when the BMW he was driving was in collision with a bus near Castletown.

Forty-five year-old Mr French has pleaded not guilty to charges of manslaughter and causing death by dangerous driving.

He also denies causing serious bodily harm to another man, Donald Richard Faragher, by dangerous driving.

Mr Faragher was the driver of the bus involved in the head-on crash.
