Public meeting over marina silt

by isleofman.com 16th April 2015

St John's Methodist Hall is the venue for a public meeting tonight over the disposal of silt from Peel marina.

It's been called by German Parish Commissioners who have criticised the government for not consulting with the local authority before creating a dump for the silt at Poortown Quarry. Commissioner John Kennaugh said the trust between central and local government had been destroyed (see MTTV report at http://www.manx.net/tv/mt-tv/watch/71639/silt-dumping-destruction-of-trust-)

The meeting starts at 7.30pm.
