Citywing celebrates its first year of direct Glasgow services

Citywing is celebrating the first anniversary of its direct service between Glasgow and the Isle of Man, which was first launched on 31st March 2014.

The route has proved a resounding success and so popular, with strong bookings to date, that Citywing has recently added extra flights to the timetable, offering 11 return flights a week from 1st May. These include a very popular Saturday flight and a double daily service four days a week.

Citywing provide a regular and frequent direct service to Glasgow, which further strengthens the link between the two Celtic Communities, and offers the only direct route and guaranteed lowest fares between Scotland and the Isle of Man.

David Buck, Managing Director at Citywing, said: ‘We are delighted to be able to celebrate the anniversary of Citywing’s direct Glasgow service following a successful first year. Demand for the route has been fantastic and we are so pleased to provide this service for the communities of both Scotland and the Isle of Man.

‘With additional flights available from May this year, both business and leisure passengers can now take advantage of an improved timetable, including up to two flights per day and convenient weekend travel with the addition of a Saturday flight. It is very encouraging that passengers have been so enthusiastic about this service, and we are confident that this will continue for the foreseeable future.’

Citywing offers direct fares between Glasgow and the Isle of Man from as little as ?49.95 each way including all taxes and charges, with services increasing from May 1st 2015.
