Local company Coburg Communications has been appointed to promote the IMGold MGP for 2015, to remind competitors and spectators exactly what is so special about this iconic event in the road-racing calendar.
“The ‘Manx’ holds a special place in the hearts of so many,” says MMCC Manager and Race Secretary, Caroline Etherington. “The MMCC has always known that, and we want to make sure that the rest of the road-racing world does too.”
Coburg Communications Director Chris Holland is excited about the challenge:
“When Caroline first approached me, I spent some time considering exactly why so many people love the IMGold Manx Grand Prix,” says Chris. “I soon realised that it’s the winning combination of high-octane racing and the warm-hearted welcome given to competitors and spectators alike which really does, as we say in the new strapline, get your heart racing. I am really looking forward to promoting the IMGold MGP and conveying that very special excitement.”
Coburg Communications will be working with the MMCC to promote local IMGold MGP riders and competitors from elsewhere – some of whom travel thousands of miles with a dream of racing on the mountain course.
“The IMGold MGP is not only a proving ground for younger riders, but also a highly competitive road race for competitors who come back year after year because they love it so much,” says Caroline. “We want to encourage new and experienced riders to continue to support us, and by appointing Coburg Communications we know that the IMGold Manx Grand Prix will get the attention it deserves, here on the Island and further afield.”
