Nominations close today ahead of the next Legislative Council election.

Members of the House of Keys have until 5pm to nominate candidates for the remaining two seats in the upper chamber. MHKs vote in a secret ballot at a special sitting of the House on Wednesday May 6.

Last month, Bill Henderson and David Cretney were elected MLCs, filling two of the four vacant seats. None of the other candidates received the required 13 votes.
