Jury hears closing speeches in murder trial

by isleofman.com 14th April 2015
The jury in a murder trial has heard both closing speeches from the prosecution and defence.
Ian Anderson, who's 46, denies murdering 60-year-old Ballabeg man Neil Roberts, from Ballabeg, in late 2013.
Linda Watts spoke for the prosecution and Dawn Jones for the defence at Douglas Courthouse today.
Mrs Watts described how it was "quite simply a case of murder" whilst Mrs Jones said "the one thing it isn't and never, ever was, was murder".
The trial continues tomorrow when Deemster Montgomerie will begin his summary of the case, from 10am.
